Training points? What do i do with them!?

Training points are received 2 ways.

You can earn them by leveling up. You gain one training point every 4 levels from level 1-20. Then every 5 levels from 20-90.

The second way is to complete various quests throughout the spiral. Prospector Zeke is in EVERY single world of the spiral and has fun hide and seek type quests for you. There are guides to all of these available on various websites to show you exactly where to go, but I personally like to try to find them myself first.
Wizard101central.com has the best guides to this and any other quest you need help with.

Training points are used to train spells from schools other than your Primary school of magic.  Those spells are always free. So if you are Death, all your death spells are free and you get to spend your training points on spells from other schools.

What should i use my training points on?

A popular way to spend training points is as follows.

Death- 7 points trained to Feint (A Feint is a trap that adds 70% damage to your opponent, but also places a 30% trap on you. It sounds bad, but trust me, it's totally worth it once you learn to use it. This is especially helpful to low hitting schools like Life.)

Life- 6 Points trained to Satyr A Healing spell worth 850pts. (This gets you sprite at lower levels which is very helpful and then satyr at high levels.)
Ice- 6 points to Tower shield, because the tower shield is good for -50% off of ANY spell cast at you, and the ONLY effective shield against Balance magic which is universal.

But you can choose to train any way you like.

Remember that your secondary school spells will not be useable with Power Pips.  Meaning unless you have a Mastery Amulet ($20 worth of crowns or dropped by special dungeon at level 60) You will have to use more pips to use those spells.

What if I don't like the way I've Trained!?
A Mini Guide to Training Point Buyback

Mr. Lincoln in Golem Court of Wizard City can buy back your training points.

At Level 12 you may begin to buy back points. The first 3 Training points are FREE. After this there is a Fee of 350 Crowns PER POINT. If you are going to buy back your points, I suggest you do it at Level 12 and train what you really want. If you are careful with your points you can train a great deal of awesome spells, if you spend them frivolously you will be stuck with useless spells further into the game.

What do I do with left over points?

Fear not! Once you reach level 50 and Celestia, Zafaria, and Azteca, you can use those left over points to train Astral spells. I won't be covering those here, because this guide is for beginners. Avalon also has some trainable spells but your school spells in Avalon are free there too.
