The Bank In My Dorm Room- What's it for?

When you get items through drops, buying, or picking up they are automatically stored in your backpack. Your Backpack can hold 120 items if you are a member, 90 if you are free to play.  If the allowed number of slots for a certain type of equipment in your backpack is full, all excess pieces you collect are automatically transported to your bank, which you can access from your dormitory or house.

Your bank has 100 slots for storage. There is also a "Shared Bank" We'll get to that in a moment.  To move items back and forth from your backpack to your bank or vice versa, there must be empty slots in the place you want to move them to.

The first thing you should do is use the House button on the bottom right of your screen to take you Home, this will be your dorm room until you buy a house (Available at level 15) and equip it. After you buy a house, you will keep your dorm room, and be able to visit it as well. We'll cover that in another post.

Once you enter the Dorm walk up to your bank and press the letter X on your keyboard. Your bank will open and look like this.

BANK

The Items in your bank may now be transfered to your backpack or to your Shared Bank.
If you wish to sell the items you may move them to your backpack or leave them in your bank and sell them at the bazaar. Some Items are labeled No Auction, these items may still be sold, just not at the bazaar. To do this they will NEED TO BE IN YOUR BACKPACK in order to do this.  They will also need to be in your backpack to be equipped, to do this highlight the item you wish to move and click MOVE TO BACKPACK.  The item is now in your backpack inventory.  You can store everything in your bank that you can carry in your backpack, except for Treasure Cards. Equipment, Housing, Pets, Mounts, Garden Seeds, Reagents, and even Pet Snacks may be stored in your bank.

A Note About Seeds: Each Seed takes up one slot in your backpack, bank, or shared bank. If you have a seed that you do not wish to plant try to sell it at the bazaar so that it doesn't take up space, if you can't sell it at the bazaar, feed it to your pet from your backpack. Sometimes it will give gold, sometimes Gold and Treasure Cards, and other times it will give your pet free Training Experience.

SHARED BANK
Items in your Shared Bank are accessible to ALL THE CHARACTERS ON YOUR ACCOUNT.
To Access the Items in the shared Bank Click the Shared Bank Tab at the top of the menu.  This tab is very useful if you have more than one wizard. It allows you to trade items back and forth between more than one character. If you have only one character it gives you extra storage space. You can now move items to your bank or backpack for use by the wizard you are currently playing.

There are certain Items that you can't place in the Shared Bank. These Items say NO TRADE at the bottom of the description. These are special items that must be either bought at the bazaar or received in battle.  Sometimes you get these items that are for a school that you can not use, you can usually sell them at the bazaar, unless they also say NO AUCTION. You're not stuck with these items, but we'll cover that in another post.

Just like your backpack, you can store everything in your shared bank that you can carry in your backpack, except for Treasure Cards. Equipment, Housing, Pets, Mounts, Garden Seeds, Reagents, and even Pet Snacks may be stored in your bank.

REMOVING A PET FROM THE SHARED BANK WILL DRAIN YOUR ENERGY!
They did this so that people couldn't move the pet around from character to character training it with the energy available on each character, this forces you to either wait until your energy has refilled on it's own or pay crowns to refill the energy bottle.  So I suggest training a pet before you move it to a new character.  :P

Now that you've moved the items around, you may want to equip them.

To do this, you'll need to exit the bank and open your backpack by hitting the letter B or clicking on your spell book. Equip as usual.
