Prisms are Awesome! They allow us to fight our own school magic by turning it into the magic of another school and thereby avoiding that pesky resist. The resist percentage gets higher in each world. Every school except for Balance gets a prism. This makes it tough on Balance. Not only does the prism change the magic to a non-resistant strain, but it BOOSTS the damage because it is the opposite school.
Before a battle with enemies from your own school, make sure that you have your prisms loaded into your deck.
Once in the battle, make sure that you place your prisms BEFORE you place your traps, however you can go ahead and Blade. This is where a wand for your Opposite school comes in handy. Because most 'Opposite schools' carry a -70% shield for the school you are converting damage to. If those shields are place BEFORE your convert you need to be able to break the shield or you waste your damage. (The Death School will not have to worry about this until later, as Death does not shield Life unless there is a balance minion on their side.) Discard and pass until your prisms are found. Cast the prism, then add any traps you wish to use and attack. These can even be used in PVP to avoid shields.(MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A RESHUFFLE CARD OR TC BEFORE DISCARDING ALL ATTACKS!)
Here is a list of Prisms:
Death Prism- Converts Death Damage to Life damage
Life Prism- Converts Life Damage to Death Damage
Storm Prism- Converts Storm Damage to Myth Damage.
Myth Prism- Converts Myth Damage to Storm Damage
Ice Prism- Converts Ice Damage to Fire Damage
Fire Prism- Converts Fire Damage to Ice Damage
A tip for later use: List of schools that boost on each other.
Once you have mastered the art of the Prism, you can use it to boost your damage on schools other than your own. The trick is knowing which schools are boosted by the types of damage available to you.
